Dear friends, partners, & community
I’m writing to share an important update about Envisioning Equity.
After much reflection, I have decided to sunset Envisioning Equity’s work as a racial equity and DEI consulting firm. This has been a hard and deeply considered decision.
In the current climate, the space for meaningful, sustained racial equity work inside many institutions has narrowed in ways that are both familiar and painful. I no longer believe this is the context in which Envisioning Equity can consistently do its best work or support our clients in the way you deserve. Rather than continue to dilute the integrity of the work, I am choosing to close this chapter with intention.
What remains constant is my profound gratitude.
To our clients and partners:
Thank you for your willingness to ask hard questions about power, race, and belonging; to sit in discomfort; and to shift policies, practices, and culture in response to what you heard. Many of you took real risks to move your organizations toward something more honest and just. It has been a privilege to walk alongside you.
To the consultants, collaborators, and facilitators who have worked under the Envisioning Equity umbrella:
Thank you for your brilliance, your care, and your courage. You co-led assessments, trainings, strategy sessions, and healing spaces that made this work real in rooms I could not have held alone. Envisioning Equity has always been more than one person, and I am deeply grateful for the ways you advanced its mission.
As I turn the page,
Envisioning Equity will continue with a different business focus while keeping equity at its core. I will be focused on projects that expand access to quality, affordable homes—bringing investors, developers, and communities together to create housing solutions that are both sustainable and equitable. This work feels like a natural next step—born from my own parallel investing during my consulting years, and deeply inspired by my parents, who developed, built and managed affordable housing for over 40+ years in my hometown. Their example instilled in me the belief that where and how people live shapes opportunity, belonging, and the health of entire communities.
Practically speaking:
I will continue to support current clients through the end of Q1 2026.
This website and my email address will remain the same as I shift the focus of Envisioning Equity’s work.
If you’d like to follow along as this new chapter unfolds, I invite you to connect with me on LinkedIn as I slowly begin to share more about this transition and what’s emerging.
Thank you for the trust, the partnership, and the work we’ve done together. I’m closing this chapter with a full heart and a deep belief that the seeds we planted will continue to grow in ways we may not yet see.
Envisioning Equity Together.
